Metal Core Valves is a manufacturer of flow control for municipal water, wastewater, fire protection, and industrial work. We make the valves utilities write into a spec: resilient seated gate valves to AWWA C515 and C509, concentric and double eccentric butterfly valves through 48 inches, swing and ball checks, dry and wet barrel hydrants, UL/FM indoor fire protection, fusible HDPE-end valves, and eccentric plug valves for wastewater isolation.
We started in 1980. Gate valve manufacturing began in Fresno in 1990. Dry and wet barrel hydrants followed in 1993. In 2007 we opened a purpose-built plant that is now our Earth City, Missouri home. Omaha and Nashville yards came on in 2016. Butterfly valves through 48 inches in 2018. The catalog grew. The duty did not: iron that holds, a serial number that traces, and a truck that leaves on time.
The plant is 180,000 square feet. About 170 people work the line, the yards, and sales across North America. 4 stocking points (Earth City, Omaha, Nashville, and St. Louis) keep common sizes on the floor. Average lead time from purchase order to shipment is 6 days. Stocked items go out in under 24 hours.
Every valve is serialized on the Missouri floor. Stainless stems. NSF 61 and 372 for potable water, including lead-free. AWWA on the waterworks line. UL listed and FM approved fire protection.
